A Guest Room - Make it Comfy

When ever we are hosting family or friends, we want their stay to be welcoming and stress free for everyone.

You can do this by, supplying each guest room with travel size toiletries. They may have forgotten something. Supply a different color washcloth, hand towel and bath towel to each guest. Hang a towel rack on the back of the door for your guest to keep their wet towels up off the floor.

Some guest feel uncomfortable getting up in the middle of the night to search for snacks. Provide a goody basket with candy bars, fruit and crackers. Have a few bottles of water in the room.

Have some earplugs handy. This way if someone turns in early everyone will not have to worry about keeping them awake and the party can go on.

Place extra sheets, blankets and pillow cases in a box under the bed so guest can help themselves.

Give your guest somewhere to hang clothes or their robe by placing an over the door hook with a few hangers. Robes take up a lot of room in a suitcase. Have a couple extra hanging around.

You can pick up a few pamphlets with things to do and what to see in your area.

Place a night light in the hallway, kitchen and bathroom. This way your guest won't have to move around in the dark because they do not know where the light switch is.

We do not let anyone smoke in our house. Have a designated area for smokers and let your guest know where it is.

Little things like this will make your guest feel comfortable and welcomed.

After your guest have gone you can store everything away till the next time.
